اسکرو بال مزاحیہ (انگریزی: Screwball comedy) رومانوی مزاحیہ سٹائل کی ایک فلمی ذیلی صنف ہے جو کساد عظیم کے دوران مقبول ہوئی، 1930ء کی دہائی کے اوائل میں شروع ہوئی اور 1950ء کی دہائی کے اوائل تک ترقی کرتی رہی، جو روایتی محبت کی کہانی پر طنز کرتی ہے۔ اس میں ثانوی خصوصیات ہیں جیسے نوار فلم، ایک خاتون کردار سے ممتاز ہے جو مرد مرکزی کردار کے ساتھ تعلقات پر حاوی ہے، جس کی مردانگی کو چیلنج کیا جاتا ہے، [1] اور دونوں جنسوں کی ایک مزاحیہ جنگ میں مصروف ہیں۔ [2]

The screwball comedy is funny film noir that has a happy ending... The premise of the film is about the struggle in their relationship. During the course of the struggle, which is highly sexually charged, the maleness of the central character is challenged. The female is the dominant character in the relationship. This role reversion is central to the screwball comedy.
