Professional wrestling title history top produces a key and initial table row for use in professional wrestling championship history articles.

This template is used in conjunction with {{Professional wrestling title history middle}} to create a table for professional wrestling championship history, as shown below:

The template can be used without any parameters, but should be tailored based on the content of the table. The following parameters are included:

Parameters

Parameter	Explanation
days2	Set to "yes" if the promotion recognizes the number of days held during a reign differently than what occurred. This adds a column to the table and a corresponding entry to the key.
defenses	Set to "yes" if the promotion keeps track of successful championship defenses. This adds a column to the table and a corresponding entry to the key.
unknown	Set to "yes" if a specific piece of information is unknown ("N/A"). This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
later	Set to "yes" if a date is questioned and noted to be "no later than (NLT)". This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
earlier	Set to "yes" if a date is questioned and noted to be "no earlier than (NET)". This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
unrecognized	Set to "yes" if a reign is unrecognized by the promotion. This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
dayless	Set to "yes" if a reign is noted as less than one day ("<1"). This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
active	Set to "yes" if the championship is active. This adds a corresponding entry to the key.
team	Set to "yes" if the championship is designated for tag teams. This extends the width of the "Champion" column and adjusts the "Reign" explanation in the key, noting the parenthetical formatting for reign numbers of the individual team members, if their reign number is different from the team's.
