نیو ہورائزنز(New Horizons) سیارہ پلوٹو کی جانب بھیجا جانے والا خلائی مشن ہے۔ اسے 19 جنوری 2006 کو زمین سے بھیجا گیا۔ 2007 میں یہ مشتری کے پاس سے گذرا اور مشتری اور اس کے چاند کی بہت سی تصاویر زمین پر بھیجیں۔ 14 جولائی 2015 کو یہ زمین کے یو ٹی سی وقت 11:49:57 کے مطابق یہ پلوٹو سے نزدیک ترین تھا۔ اس کی پلوٹو سے دوری 7800 میل یا 12500 کلومیٹر تھی[1]۔
