یہودی محلہ

یہودی محلہ (انگریزی: Jewish Quarter، عبرانی: הרובע היהודי‎, HaRova HaYehudi, عام مکینوں کی بول چام میں HaRova, عربی: حارة اليهود) دیوار بند شہر کے جنوب مشرقی علاقے میں واقع ہے۔ یہ جنوب میں باب صیہون سے مغرب میں آرمینیائی محلہ تک اور مشرق میں مغربی دیوار اور کوہ ہیکل تک پھیلا ہوا ہے۔ یہودی محلہ بھرپور تاریخ مقام ہے اور یہاں آٹھویں صدی قبل مسیح سے تقریبا مسلسل یہودی آباد ہیں۔[1][2][3][4][5][6] 1948 عرب اسرائیل جنگ کے بعد یہ اردن کے زیر انتطام آ گیا، لیکن 1967ء کی چھ روزہ جنگ کے بعد یہ اسرائیل کے قبضے میں چلا گیا۔ اس کے چند ہی دنوں بعد اسرائیلی حکام مراکشی محلہ کے انہدام کا حکم دے دیا اور وہاں مقیم لوگوں کو زبردستی دوسری جگہ منتقل کر دیا تا کہ عوام کو دیوار گریہ تک کی رسائی کی سہولت فراہم کی جا سکے۔
