مہاراشٹر حکومت بھارتی ریاست مہاراشٹر کی حکومت ہے۔ یہ جلیا۔ ی طور پر منتخب حکومت ہے، جس میں 288 ایم ایل اے 5 سالہ مدت کے لیے قانون ساز اسمبلی کے لیے منتخب ہوئے ہیں۔ مہاراشٹرا میں ایک دو ایوانی مقننہ ہے، جو دو ایوانوں: ودھان سبھا (قانون ساز اسمبلی) اور ودھان پریشد (قانون ساز کونسل) پر مشتمل ہے۔ جیسا کہ ایک پارلیمانی نظام کا معاملہ ہے ، حکومت پارٹی ، سیاسی اتحاد یا اراکین اسمبلی کے ایک گروپ کے ذریعہ تشکیل دی جاتی ہے جو ایوان زیریں میں اکثریت کا حکم دیتے ہیں۔ ایوان زیریں کے اکثریتی رہنما وزیر اعلی بن جاتے ہیں اور دونوں ایوانوں سے کابینہ کے ممبروں کا انتخاب کرتے ہیں۔ اگر کوئی منتخبہ شخص وزیر اعلیٰٰ بن جاتا ہے تو انھیں اگلے 6 ماہ کے اندر کسی بھی ایوان میں منتخب ہونا پڑتا ہے۔

وزرا کی کونسل

12 نومبر 2019 کو ریاست مہاراشٹر کو صدر کے اقتدار میں لایا گیا تھا۔ 23 نومبر 2019 کو صدر بھارت رام ناتھ کووند نے مرکزی حکمرانی کی منسوخی پر دستخط کیے۔ 26 نومبر کو دیویندر فڈنویز نے قانون ساز اسمبلی میں اکثریت نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے وزیر اعلی کے عہدہ سے استعفیٰ دے دیا۔ دو دن بعد 28 نومبر 2019 کو مہا وکاس آغادی (ایم وی اے) اتحاد کے رہنما ادھو ٹھاکرے نے ریاست کے وزیر اعلی کے عہدے کا حلف لیا۔
