English: 61-year old Ali Musliyar, the Indian rebel leader of the Moplah Revolt (1921), shortly before his execution in Coimbatore. Musliyar, one of the prominent leaders of the Uprising, was born in 1861 in Ernad, Malabar. He worked for almost 7 years in the holy city of Mecca, Arabia. He surrendered to the Government forces in September 1921 and was later executed.
