- there are three words for You of English in Urdu, according to the grade of respect, and they are
- aap = most polite way of saying you
- tum = can be used among friends and to juniors
- tu = is an strange word, it can be used by a person who is thinking the other person inferior (often used to show the hatred or anger). But it can also be used among very close friends, among lovers, and sometime by parents to their kids.
