Nice to meet you here :-) How do you think of Urdu wikipedia? I think you can read urdu as the characters are same, even if you dont understand the meaning. I want to ask you one thing, I have found many words on Farsi wikipedia that can not be found in dictionaries, so. is it not the violation of the wikipedia policy of -- No original Research? Urdu

You can write Urdu after installing urdu language and keyboard on your PC. Another easy way is to use urdupads. One of the online urdupad can be found at this link You can use this just to start and write some Urdu. Just write and then cut copy and paste. Dear Taeedxy, thank you for your message and interest in Urdu wiki. In fact, it is not possible for you to understand the urdu language until you know the grammar of the urdu sentences. It is true that urdu is mostly dependent on arabic and persian for the vocabulary but he grammar is what makes sense in a language. So, if you want to understand this language I recommend to please find some book on urdu learning (there should be many in persian as well as in english). This is the first step, and we can help you if you find any difficult thing in that book. Another way is this that you ask questions and we will try to explain you and providing answers. Samarqandi
