It is located 9 km from Salarwala and 15 km from Sangla Hill and 22 km from Chak Jhumra. The population of this village is close to 4547. Near this village is the shrine of Hazrat Syed Aqil Peer Bukhari due to which the name of this village is also known as Aqil peer This village was established when in 1890 to dig a canal Rakh branch. These people came here from Chiniot and Sahiwal district, but some families have been living here for centuries. like Meher AJAM sahmal .Mian Gangu Qureshi.
