Hi, I'm Johannes from Wikimedia Deutschland's Technical Wishes Team, sorry for writing in English. Our team has been working on Cite CSS to prepare wikis for the upcoming Parser Unification. Historically many wikis have used MediaWiki:Cite reference link to introduce custom styling to reference footnotes. Urwiki apparently decided to use میڈیاویکی:Cite reference link to decrease the font-size of footnotes (75% of the default size). This doesn't work in VisualEditor and Parsoid reader view. That's why میڈیاویکی:Common.css#L-105 has been added a couple of months ago to your wiki's Common.css [1] which is now the recommended way of applying custom styles to footnotes. The CSS rule also applies to the current (legacy) reader view and allows you to safely delete میڈیاویکی:Cite reference link without any visible changes. It would help our clean-up efforts if you delete the now redundant cite message – as I said there should be no visible changes to footnotes as the new CSS rule would apply. Best regards
