چین کی تہذیب کی رو سے ایک بھوت سے شادی (چینی: 冥婚; پینین: mínghūn; یعنی: "spirit marriage") ایسی شادی ہے جس میں ایک یا دونوں فریقین متوفی ہوں۔ چین میں اگر کوئی کنوارہ مرجائے تو اس کے گھر والے اس کی شادی کسی مردہ لڑکی سے کراتے ہیں۔ دنیا میں کئی اور قسم کی بھوت کی شادیاں پائی جاتی ہیں۔ یہ شادیوں کا رواج سوڈان سے لے کر موجودہ دور کے فرانس تک پھیلا ہوا ہے۔ فرانس میں یہ رواج 1959ء سے زور پکڑا ہے (دیکھیے بیوہ بھابی سے شادی، سوڈان میں متوفی مردوں سے شادی کرنے کا رواج اور انتقال کے بعد کی شادی)۔ چین میں بھوتوں کی شادی کی ابتدائی تاریخ کے بارے میں معلومات عام نہیں ہیں، تاہم یہ رواج آج بھی موجود ہے اور لوگ اس عمل پیرا ہیں، اس کی اطلاعات موجود ہیں۔

وجوہات

اس کی ایک وجہ یہ بھی بیان کی جاتی ہے کہ شادی نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے مرنے والے کی روح دنیا کے چکر لگاتی رہتی ہے۔ شادی کے بغیر مرنا پیچھے رہ جانے والوں کے لیے بدبختی بھی سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ ایک وجہ کے مطابق مرنے والا اگلے جہان میں تنہا نہ ہو اس لیے اس کی شادی کر دی جاتی ہے۔ چین میں ایک رسم یہ بھی ہے کہ چھوٹے بھائی کی شادی بڑے بھائی سے پہلے نہیں ہوسکتی۔ بڑا بھائی مر جائے تو اس کی مرنے کے بعد بھی شادی کر دی جاتی ہے۔ کچھ خاندان باہم تعلق بڑھانے کے لیے اپنے مرنے والوں کی دفن کرنے سے پہلے شادی کر دیتے ہیں۔
