اميش ترپاٹھی (پیدائش: 18 اکتوبر 1974ء) ایک بھارتی مصنف اور ناول نگار ہیں جن کی ایک کہانی پر ہالی وڈ فلم بھی بنی ہے۔ "دی اممارٹلس آف میلوہا" (2010ء)، "دی سیکرٹ آف ناگاز" (2011ء) اور "دی اوتھ آف دی وایو پتراج" (2013ء) جیسی کہانیوں کے حقوق کے لیے ایک امریکی فلم ساز نے اچھے معاوضے کی پیشکش بھی کی ہے۔ شیو ٹرائی لوجی پر مبنی تھرڈ اور لاسٹ پارٹ دی اوتھ آف وایو پتر کے 5 لاکھ نسخے ایک ہفتے میں فروخت گئے۔

ابتدائی زندگی اور ادبی رجحان

18 اکتوبر 1974ء کو ممبئی میں پیدا ہونے والے ترپاٹھی ایک بینکار تھے۔ مگر طبعی میلان کی وجہ سے اب وہ کل وقتی طور پر لکھنے لکھانے کو ہی اپنا چکے ہیں۔ اُنہوں نے ’ویسٹ لینڈ‘ نامی بھارتی اشاعتی ادارے کے ساتھ اپنے تین حصوں پر مشتمل کتابی سلسلے ’شیوا ٹرائیلوجی‘ کے حقوق کی پُر کشش ڈیل کے ذریعے اشاعتی صنعت میں ہلچل مچا دی تھی۔[13]
