ماگنوس ماگنینتیوس 350ء سے 353ء تک ایک رومی شہنشاہ جنرل اور قسطنطینوس دوم کے خلاف غاصب تھا۔ جرمن نسل سے تعلق رکھنے والے، ماگنینتیوس نے مغربی شہنشاہ قونسطانس اول کے تحت گول علاقہ میں امتیازی خدمات انجام دیں۔ 18 جنوری 350ء کو ماگنینتیوس آگستس کا لقب دیا گیا۔ غیر مقبول کانسٹنس کو تیزی سے قتل کر کے، ماگنینتیوس نے مغربی رومی سلطنت کے بیشتر حصوں پر کنٹرول حاصل کر لیا
